FIFO Shift Schedule: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off

Job Description:
Primary Care Paramedics serve as frontline emergency medical providers at remote worksites, delivering rapid, professional care in critical situations. Working in a fly-in/fly-out environment, you’ll ensure patient safety, perform triage and medical retrievals, and provide care within your licensed scope of practice while adhering to provincial standards and organizational protocols.

This is a FIFO role with accommodations, meals, and travel provided. The position is ideal for clinically strong professionals seeking rotational work, long-term balance, and meaningful impact.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing emergency medical care in accordance with provincial regulations and company procedures
  • Performing patient triage and participating in medical retrieval services
  • Maintaining readiness of medical equipment, vehicles, supplies, and PPE
  • Operating within licensed scope of practice while supporting team-based care
  • Completing accurate and timely patient documentation and reports
  • Upholding strict infection control and safety standards
  • Participating in annual skills assessments, training, and continuing education
  • Supporting internal training initiatives and quality improvement programs
  • Participating in meetings, committees, and risk-identification activities
  • Assisting with procedure development and continuous service improvement

Qualifications & requirements:

  • Experience working as a Primary Care Paramedic
  • Current registration with the Manitoba College of Paramedics
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to perform under pressure
  • Alignment with values of expertise, respect, and care

Preferred experience:

  • Industrial or remote worksite experience
  • Strong understanding of medical and operational guidelines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to hold self and others accountable
