FIFO Shift Schedule: 13 days on / 13 days off (plus 2 travel days), 12-hour shifts

Job Description:
Newmont is hiring Underground Heavy Duty Mechanics for the Brucejack Mine in Northern BC. This is a fly-in/fly-out role with camp accommodations, private rooms, meals, and recreation facilities included. Pay is $64.32/hour, with rotations running 13 days on and 13 days off. Responsibilities include inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing underground mobile equipment such as drills, scoops, and haul trucks, performing preventive maintenance, conducting repairs underground, and ensuring safe equipment operation.

Requirements:

  • Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic certification
  • Experience maintaining diesel and gasoline mobile/stationary equipment
  • Underground mining experience an asset
  • Experience with Sandvik, MacLean, Getman, JLG, or Diamond Drills preferred
  • Proficiency with SAP an asset
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • Must pass pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol testing, and background check
  • WHMIS/TDG certifications preferred
