Job Description:
Wesdome Gold Mines is seeking a Resource Geologist to join the Mine Geology team at the Eagle River Mine near Wawa, ON. Reporting to the Chief Mine Geologist, this role will focus on short-term grade control models, 3D wireframing, QA/QC, reconciliation, drill-hole planning, and data management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and refine 3D lithostructural and mineralization wireframes
  • Create and maintain short-term grade control models and reconciliation processes
  • Apply QA/QC standards for sampling protocols, data collection, and lab performance
  • Use geological software (Datamine Studio RM, Deswik.CAD, Leapfrog Geo, etc.) for modelling and estimation
  • Guide the Mine Geology team in modelling, stope assessments, and drill-hole planning
  • Mentor and train staff in 3D modelling and applied geostatistics
  • Contribute to NI 43-101 reporting, PEA, PFS, and FS studies in collaboration with corporate teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Earth Sciences (M.Sc. preferred)
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) in Ontario
  • Experience with block modelling, QA/QC review, and applied geostatistics for narrow vein deposits
  • Proficiency with Datamine, Deswik.CAD, Leapfrog Geo, or similar packages
  • Strong computer and data management skills (Python an asset)
  • Knowledge of drill planning, logging, sampling, and QA/QC protocols
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • High commitment to safety
