FIFO Shift Schedule: 10/10 Rotation (10-hour day shifts)
Job Description:
Wesdome Gold Mines is hiring a Remote Mucker to join the underground operations team at the Eagle River Mine in Wawa, ON. This role is essential for maintaining continuous ore and waste movement in the production cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate remote-controlled and/or manual scoop tram equipment underground
- Remove broken rock from draw points, loading areas, and re-mucks
- Transport ore and waste to ore passes, trucks, or backfills
- Conduct pre-operational inspections and report issues
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas
- Collaborate with shift bosses, miners, and maintenance to meet production targets
- Follow all mine safety regulations and company policies
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of underground mining experience (hard rock preferred)
- Proficient in operating LHD equipment (manual and remote)
- Underground Common Core Modules (U0000–U0012) and specialty modules U0020, U0068A, U0068B are assets
- Strong commitment to safety and hazard awareness
- Ability to work in confined, noisy, and physically demanding underground conditions
- Comfortable with rotation-based camp life
