FIFO Shift Schedule: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
Job Description:
Occupational Health Nurses play a critical leadership role in protecting employee health and supporting safe, compliant work environments at remote worksites. Working in a fly-in/fly-out setting, you’ll lead occupational health programs, manage work-related injuries, and partner with site and corporate stakeholders to promote workforce wellbeing.
This is a FIFO role with accommodations, meals, and travel provided. The position is designed for professionals seeking long-term balance, flexibility, and meaningful impact in occupational health.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining occupational health policies aligned with regulatory and client requirements
- Designing and delivering injury prevention and employee wellness programs
- Administering medications, immunizations, and health interventions as required
- Managing work-related injury cases and return-to-work coordination
- Conducting health screenings and ongoing health monitoring
- Maintaining confidential and accurate medical and occupational health records
- Preparing reports on health surveillance, injury trends, and program effectiveness
- Collaborating with safety teams, return-to-work coordinators, and external health providers
- Supporting compliance with legal, statutory, and client-specific health requirements
- Participating in meetings and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders
Qualifications & requirements:
- Experience working as an Occupational Health Nurse
- Occupational Health Nurse Certification
- Current registration with the BC College of Nurses
- ACLS certification
- Audiometry and Spirometry certification
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work under pressure
- Alignment with values of expertise, respect, and care
Preferred experience:
- Industrial or remote worksite experience
- Strong working knowledge of medical and operational guidelines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to hold self and others accountable
