Job Description:
Skeena Gold + Silver is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Coordinator for the Eskay Creek Revitalization Project in northwest BC. Reporting to the Superintendent, Mobile Maintenance, this role is responsible for coordinating maintenance activities for all mobile equipment, fixed plant, and light vehicles. The position ensures timely service to minimize downtime, manages parts and consumables, and supports fleet planning and budgeting — all while upholding Skeena’s strong safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all maintenance activities for mobile equipment and fixed plant; support mechanics in prioritizing work
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules to optimize uptime
• Oversee procurement, inventory, and tracking of parts, fuel, oils, tires, and consumables
• Manage critical spares and coordinate with warehouse for stock control
• Track and report on equipment performance metrics, downtime, and maintenance costs
• Manage maintenance budgets and identify opportunities for cost savings
• Promote strong safety culture; ensure compliance with all safety and environmental standards
• Provide weekly input to Project Controls team on safety, performance, and progress
• Build and maintain vendor relationships for timely delivery of parts and services
• Oversee light vehicle fleet maintenance, insurance, and tire management
• Support additional duties as required to ensure smooth camp operations

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of direct experience in heavy equipment or mining maintenance
• Proven background in equipment maintenance planning and scheduling
• Strong technical knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance, procurement, and contractor management
• Experience in contract management, budget supervision, and stakeholder/vendor relations
• Valid Driver’s License required
• Prior remote mining or industrial site experience strongly preferred
• Ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure; self-motivated and able to work independently
