FIFO Shift Schedule: 7/7 Rotation (12-hour shifts)
Job Description:
Wesdome Gold Mines is seeking a Mine Electrician for the Eagle River Mine near Wawa, ON. This role involves electrical construction, maintenance, and repair across the mining operation and camp complex while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical construction, repairs, and preventative maintenance on mining and camp systems
- Ensure PPE is in place and refuse unsafe work conditions
- Maintain logbooks and eLogger reports for repairs and services
- Work to all applicable electrical codes and mining standards (CEC/OEC, M421)
- Provide electrical support to other departments as required
- Install, maintain, and commission underground substations, pumps, ventilation fans, PTOs, and starters
- Troubleshoot underground mobile and production equipment
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure smooth maintenance integration
Requirements:
- Valid Red Seal 442A or 309A electrical license
- Mining Common Core certification
- Experience with underground mining equipment and electrical systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of mining electrical standards
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
