FIFO Shift Schedule: 7/7 Rotation (12-hour shifts)
Job Description:
Wesdome Gold Mines is hiring a Mill Electrician for the Eagle River Complex near Wawa, ON. This role is responsible for electrical maintenance of the mill/plant and camp complex, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs in the mill and camp complex
- Follow CEC/OEC electrical codes and safety regulations
- Complete preventative maintenance and operational work orders as assigned
- Assist other departments with electrical needs when required
- Use electrical test equipment (meggers, multimeters) to diagnose issues
- Work with MCC starters, motors, VFDs, soft starters, and generators
- Support control systems including HMIs, DeltaV DCS, and Allen Bradley PLCs
- Maintain accurate and detailed eLogger shift reports
- Liaise with the Joint Health & Safety Committee regarding electrical safety issues
Requirements:
- Valid Red Seal 442A or 309A Electrical license
- Mill Common Core certification an asset (not required)
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to maintain a positive and safe work environment with colleagues
- Experience with industrial control systems an asset
