Job Description:
Material Coordinators play a critical role in ensuring materials, inventory, and logistics are tightly controlled on large-scale industrial construction projects. Working within Strike’s Projects Group, this role is responsible for inventory accuracy, procurement coordination, and material flow to support uninterrupted project execution.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you’ll act as the operational bridge between project teams, suppliers, and the client—ensuring materials meet specifications, arrive on schedule, and are issued in line with project requirements. Precision, process discipline, and safety compliance are non-negotiable in this environment.
This is a fly-in/fly-out camp-based role at the Mount Bracey Compressor Station near Prince George. Meals, accommodations, and travel are provided, along with shift-based travel pay and camp retention incentives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring daily materials and inventory activities are completed accurately and on schedule
- Managing project inventory, materials control, and procurement activities
- Coordinating with suppliers and clients to ensure timely delivery of project materials
- Liaising with internal departments to requisition, purchase, and distribute materials
- Interpreting project requirements, logistics needs, and material specifications
- Reviewing standards, codes, and Material Test Reports (MTRs) for compliance
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within materials and logistics processes
- Ensuring strict adherence to safety, quality, and operational procedures
- Maintaining clear, auditable records and reporting material issues as required
