FIFO Shift Schedule: 17 days on / 4 days off

Job Description:
Labourers provide essential on-site support to skilled trades and construction crews across oilfield and industrial project sites. In this role, you’ll support integrity digs and general construction activities while maintaining a disciplined focus on safety, teamwork, and execution.

Working alongside pipefitters, welders, equipment operators, and civil crews, you’ll contribute to grading, excavation, equipment support, and site setup activities. This is a physically demanding, safety-critical role suited to individuals who are reliable, task-oriented, and comfortable working in dynamic field environments.

This is a fly-in/fly-out role across Northern Alberta, with camp or LOA provided depending on project location.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and reporting hazards or unsafe work practices
  • Fueling equipment and maintaining clean construction work areas
  • Supporting equipment operators and civil crews with grading and excavation
  • Assisting pipefitters and welders with trade-related tasks
  • Assisting heavy equipment operators with securing attachments and signaling movements
  • Erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Participating in pre-job toolbox meetings and hazard assessments
  • Correcting unsafe acts and escalating unsafe conditions to supervision
  • Returning cleaned tools to designated storage areas at shift end
  • Ensuring proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Performing additional labour activities as directed on site
