Job Description:
Arctic Ice Road personnel play a mission-critical role in the construction and maintenance of northern winter ice roads in some of the most remote operating environments in Canada. These roles support safe, reliable access across sea ice, land, and lake crossings, requiring proven Arctic experience, disciplined execution, and an uncompromising safety mindset.
This is a fly-in/fly-out camp-based opportunity in Nunavut, supporting fully remote operations under extreme winter conditions. Candidates must be experienced, self-sufficient, and capable of operating effectively in high-risk, low-margin environments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the construction, maintenance, and monitoring of Arctic ice roads
- Safely navigating and working across sea ice, land, and lake crossings
- Applying seasonal ice-road risk controls and hazard mitigation practices
- Operating within strict safety, environmental, and operational protocols
- Supporting camp-based operations in remote northern conditions
- Working rotating shifts, including nights, for extended rotations
This is a fly-in/fly-out camp role with accommodations provided. Rotations are structured to support sustained operations while managing fatigue and risk in Arctic conditions.
