FIFO Shift Schedule: 7/7 Rotation
Job Description:
Wesdome Gold Mines is seeking an IT Analyst to support end-users at the Eagle River Mine Complex in Wawa, ON, as well as at lab and shared services offices. This role includes both camp-based and underground IT support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide deskside, remote, VOIP, printing, and internet support
- Support corporate servers, network infrastructure, and phone systems
- Install, rebuild, and maintain computer/laptop hardware and IT systems
- Troubleshoot software, hardware, network, and cyber security issues
- Monitor and validate IT system integrity and availability daily
- Manage user accounts across domains, Office 365, and VoIP systems
- Diagnose and resolve issues with security cameras and recording equipment
- Work with external IT service partners to resolve technical issues
- Procure and track IT-related equipment orders
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in Information Technology (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in IT user-support roles
- Experience with camp-based IT support considered an asset
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Experience with Windows Servers, Active Directory, and modern Windows OS
- Knowledge of enterprise networks (wiring, switches, wireless, VPN, firewalls)
Working Conditions:
- 7/7 rotation with required camp stay during on-site weeks
- Travel required between locations
- May be required to work underground to support users (over 1km below surface)
- Must wear PPE and follow safety procedures
- Some heavy lifting (servers, printers, etc.) required
