Job Description:
Agnico Eagle is hiring Heavy Equipment Operators through the Sanajiksanut program for roles at both the Meadowbank Complex and Meliadine Mine in Nunavut. This fly-in fly-out opportunity is reserved for Inuit candidates and provides training and work pathways in site services and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include operating loaders, excavators, dozers, graders, backhoes, compactors, container handlers, and articulated trucks. Duties also include snow removal, muck transfer, road maintenance, site fuel delivery, daily inspections, and ensuring equipment is operated to minimize wear and damage.

Candidates must have a heavy equipment certificate or equivalent, at least 4,000 hours of equipment experience, and a valid Class 5 driver’s license (Class 3 is an asset). Strong teamwork, physical ability, and communication skills in English are required.

This position offers camp accommodations, meals, and charter flights. Schedule is a 14/14 rotation.
