Job Description:
Agnico Eagle is hiring a General Supervisor, Health & Safety, for the Meadowbank Complex in Nunavut. This fly-in fly-out leadership role is responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, driving continuous improvement in safety performance, and supervising specialized teams (nursing, security, emergency response, industrial hygiene, and safety).

Key responsibilities include promoting a safe work environment, developing and implementing H&S programs and controls, coordinating workflows, conducting inspections, managing emergency response and business continuity plans, and monitoring compliance with the Nunavut Mine Health and Safety Act. The role also involves supporting workers’ compensation claim management and aligning with ISO/OHSAS and Toward Sustainable Mining standards.

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in a health and safety–related field, with 7–10 years of H&S supervision or management experience in mining or construction. A Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation is an asset. Strong knowledge of emergency response, management systems, and Microsoft Office applications is required.
