Job Description:
Paramedic/Firefighters play a critical role in maintaining emergency preparedness and operational safety at oil sands operations. As a member of the site Fire Department, you will deliver emergency medical care, fire response, and technical rescue services while supporting continuous training, inspection, and prevention activities.
This is a fly-in/fly-out camp-based role at the Horizon or Albian Oil Sands sites near Fort McMurray, Alberta. Flights are provided, along with meals and first-class camp accommodations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing BLS and ALS medical response as required
- Delivering professional fire, medical, and technical rescue response at emergency scenes
- Assisting with the maintenance and inspection of fire apparatus and emergency equipment
- Conducting fire code inspections of site facilities and participating in pre-fire planning
- Demonstrating leadership and training capability within the emergency response team
- Providing input into emergency response readiness, effectiveness, and continuous improvement
