Job Description:
Skeena Gold + Silver is seeking a Director, Construction to lead the planning and execution of all construction activities for the Eskay Creek Revitalization Project. Reporting to the VP, Construction & Engineering, this role oversees field construction—including processing plant, tailings facility, water systems, infrastructure, and power projects—while working closely with consultants, contractors, and Skeena’s Vancouver corporate office.
The Director provides leadership to construction teams on site, ensuring work is executed safely, on schedule, and within budget, while driving continuous improvement and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
Construction Leadership
- Direct all construction activities across Eskay Creek, including processing, TMF, water management, infrastructure, and power systems
- Oversee site execution while integrating with corporate office planning and operational readiness teams
- Ensure all construction activities comply with health, safety, environment, and regulatory requirements
Planning & Scheduling
- Support and evolve the Project Execution Plan (scope, strategy, integration)
- Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules, ensuring alignment with engineering, procurement, and permitting milestones
- Identify and mitigate schedule risks, preparing contingency plans for critical-path activities
Project Controls & Reporting
- Monitor and report construction progress, costs, and KPIs to senior management
- Track expenditures, control budgets, and implement corrective actions when required
- Oversee contract administration, scope management, and dispute resolution
Workforce & Stakeholder Engagement
- Provide leadership, guidance, and performance oversight to employees, contractors, and consultants
- Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to align workforce planning, equipment, logistics, and materials
- Lead hiring and onboarding of construction personnel

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- P.Eng designation in BC or eligibility with Engineers & Geoscientists BC
- 15–20 years progressive experience in heavy industry, preferably mining, with 10+ years in senior construction leadership roles
- Proven experience leading new-build construction projects in remote or challenging environments
