Job Description:
Wesdome Gold Mines is seeking a Crusher Operator for the Eagle River Mill in Wawa, ON. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining crushing equipment to ensure safe and efficient processing of ore.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor apron feeder, cone crusher, jaw crusher, and conveyors
- Feed ore into the system, adjust settings for proper sizing, and direct material flow
- Perform pre-operational checks and minor maintenance tasks
- Maintain cleanliness of crushers, conveyors, and work areas
- Keep accurate records of production, performance, and equipment issues
- Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE
- Assist with training new employees and support mill operations as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma (technical/vocational training an asset)
- Experience with crushers, feeders, conveyors, or similar equipment in mining/aggregate operations
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Knowledge of safety protocols in mining or heavy equipment work
- Good communication and teamwork skills
