FIFO Shift Schedule: 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off

Job Description:
The Civil Engineer supports mine site development and construction activities in Nunavut, reporting to the Chief Civil Engineer. This fly-in / fly-out role is responsible for the design, coordination, and oversight of civil infrastructure projects in a remote mining environment.

Key responsibilities include:
• Designing and drafting civil infrastructure such as roads, pads, grading, culverts, and drainage systems
• Supporting project management activities including scheduling, cost tracking, and risk mitigation
• Coordinating geotechnical and concrete testing and reviewing results against quality standards
• Conducting site inspections and ensuring work meets design, QA/QC, and safety requirements
• Preparing technical drawings, 3D models, and cost estimates
• Supporting procurement planning, logistics, and inventory requirements
• Preparing and reviewing scopes of work and proposals with external consultants and suppliers

Requirements and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation or eligibility
• Minimum three years of civil engineering experience, preferably in mine-related infrastructure
• Experience in permafrost conditions is considered an asset
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office tools
