FIFO Shift Schedule: 14/14 Rotation (10-hour shifts)

Job Description:
Redpath is seeking an Alimak Raise Leader for the Macassa Black Diamond Project in Kirkland Lake, ON. This short-term contract (approx. 8–10 weeks, Sept–Oct 2025) involves leading a raise team to safely construct and maintain underground raise installations in alignment with mining plans and Redpath’s mechanized raising standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate mechanized raise climber (MRC) equipment
• Construct and maintain underground raise installations as face advances
• Perform scaling, drilling, rail installation, and services setup
• Ensure drilling patterns follow mining plans and guidelines
• Read and interpret mine plans for raise construction
• Install ground support and ensure safe work practices
• Lead by example and follow Redpath mechanized raising best practices

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience operating Alimak/raise climber machines
• Completion of MRC training program
• Ontario Underground Hard Rock Common Core – Full Basic (or provincial equivalent)
• Specialty Module U0064 (or equivalent)
• Strong teamwork, multitasking, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently or with a partner
• Respectful of cultural differences
