FIFO Shift Schedule: 15 days on / 13 days off
Job Description:
Skeena Gold + Silver is seeking an experienced General Foreperson to support the Eskay Creek Revitalization Project in northwest BC. Reporting to the Superintendent, this role provides senior on-site leadership across multiple crews and subcontractors, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of construction and mining activities. The position plays a critical role in coordinating daily operations, managing resources, and maintaining alignment with schedules, budgets, and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Field Supervisors, Lead Hands, and subcontractors
  • Lead daily pre-shift meetings, hazard assessments, and safety compliance
  • Coordinate large-scale earthworks, tailings dam construction, and civil works
  • Ensure work is executed to drawings, specifications, and quality standards
  • Track production, manpower, equipment usage, and costs
  • Prepare daily and weekly progress reports
  • Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to resolve issues

Qualifications & Experience:

  • BC Mine Shift Boss Ticket (required)
  • Valid First Aid certification
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • 15+ years’ experience in mining, civil construction, or large earthworks
  • 10+ years’ supervisory experience managing multiple crews
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proven experience with cost control, scheduling, and safety systems

Work Conditions:
Site-based camp role at Eskay Creek Mine on a 15/13 rotation. Work includes exposure to extreme weather conditions and physically demanding environments. Camp accommodations and site transportation are provided.

Compensation:
Expected salary range: CAD $125,000 – $150,000, based on experience and qualifications.
