Job Description:
Orano is accepting resumes to build a talent pool for upcoming Radiation Protection Technician roles at McClean Lake. These positions provide technical support for radiation monitoring, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform radiation measurements as prescribed by procedures and work instructions
- Record and input data into company databases and logs
- Conduct area, point, and personnel monitoring; maintain required records
- Calibrate and maintain radiation detection devices and systems
- Mentor and train employees in radiation protection programs
- Liaise with supervisors and workers to ensure corrective actions are taken as required
- Provide advice and assistance to employees on radiation-related issues
- Support Operational Excellence (OE) initiatives and contribute to safety culture

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in radiation protection, industrial hygiene, or safety monitoring preferred
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to train, mentor, and communicate effectively with employees
- Familiarity with calibration and maintenance of radiation monitoring equipment an asset
- Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Ability to work long shifts and adapt to changing operational conditions
