Job Description
FIFO Shift Schedule: 15 days on / 13 days off
Chemical Technicians support laboratory sample preparation and analysis at a remote mine site, with a primary focus on fire assay techniques. Reporting to the Superintendent, Assay Laboratory, you’ll ensure accurate, reliable results while maintaining strict safety, quality, and documentation standards.
This is a fly-in/fly-out camp role with meals, accommodations, and travel provided.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing all stages of fire assay sample preparation and analysis
- Operating furnaces and laboratory equipment for fusion, cupellation, and final analysis
- Maintaining ISO quality standards and accurate laboratory documentation
- Following all health, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Supporting lab organization, sample tracking, and workflow priorities
- Collaborating with exploration and operations teams to meet testing deadlines
