FIFO Shift Schedule: 15 days on / 13 days off
Pay: ~$48/hour
Job Description:
Skeena Gold + Silver is hiring an experienced Driller to support open-pit operations at the Eskay Creek Revitalization Project. Reporting to the Supervisor, Drill & Blast, this role is responsible for safely and accurately operating DTH drill equipment to meet production and blast design requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate DTH drill rigs (including Sandvik and excavator-mounted drills)
- Drill to survey, pattern, and engineering specifications
- Meet daily production targets while maintaining safety and quality
- Monitor ground conditions and report hazards or deviations
- Complete inspections, production logs, and basic equipment checks
- Support Drill & Blast activities and train/assist Driller Helpers
Requirements:
- 3–5 years’ experience operating DTH drills in open-pit mining
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Strong understanding of drill patterns, ground control, and wall stability
- Mechanical aptitude and safety-first mindset
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts in remote camp conditions
