Job Description:
Skeena Gold + Silver is hiring a Waste Area Attendant to support waste management and environmental compliance at the Eskay Creek Revitalization Project. Reporting to the Site Maintenance Manager, this role ensures proper waste segregation, maintains hazardous waste areas, and supports site-wide waste handling during active construction and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee waste sorting areas and enforce proper waste segregation
- Monitor and maintain hazardous waste areas in compliance with regulations
- Coordinate waste bin change-outs and garbage collection
- Assist with incinerator operations and site clean-up
- Maintain clean, organized waste management areas
- Report non-compliance or issues to site supervision
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
- 2+ years’ experience in waste management, environmental services, or industrial/mining environments
- Knowledge of waste segregation and environmental compliance (asset)
- Detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable enforcing procedures
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced, remote site environment
