Job Description:
Skeena Gold + Silver is seeking experienced Rock Truck Operators to support construction activities at the Eskay Creek Revitalization Project in northwest British Columbia. Reporting to the Operations Superintendent, this role is responsible for safely operating haul trucks to move ore, waste, and construction materials while maintaining strict safety and operational standards.
This is a fly-in/fly-out camp-based position with accommodations and transportation provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate articulated or rigid-frame rock trucks safely and efficiently
- Execute load–haul–dump cycles in varying terrain and weather conditions
- Conduct pre-start inspections and complete required safety documentation
- Maintain payload compliance and prevent spillage or carry-back
- Communicate equipment defects and operating hours to maintenance teams
- Follow all site safety rules, traffic plans, and radio protocols
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- 3–5 years’ experience operating rock trucks (e.g., Cat 740, Volvo A60)
- Mine or large earthworks hauling experience
- Ability to work rotating day/night shifts on a 15/13 schedule
- Strong safety awareness and radio communication skills
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
