FIFO Shift Schedule: 6 days on / 1 day off, 12-hour shifts (day and night shifts available)
Job Description:
Tacten is seeking Rope Access Journeyperson Welders with CWB and/or B Pressure certification for a Spring Outage project in the Fort McMurray area. This fly-in/fly-out, camp-based role involves performing welding work at height while ensuring all activities meet quality and safety standards. The outage runs from April 10, 2026 to May 15, 2026, and offers opportunities to work in a dynamic industrial environment with a strong focus on safety and professional development. Camp accommodations and meals are provided.
Key responsibilities include:
* Performing welding work using rope access methods while meeting quality and safety standards
* Complying with site safety requirements and applicable certifications
* Supporting safe execution of work during day or night shifts
* Maintaining professionalism and strong work ethic in an industrial outage environment
Qualifications:
* Journeyman Welding Certification
* Valid CWB Certification with CCO and/or valid B Pressure Certification
* IRATA Level 1 certification or willingness to obtain
* CSTS/OSSA, OSSA BSO, or OSSA CSO
* Confined Space Monitor and Entry (CSE/M)
* ESC Fall Protection considered an asset
