Maintenance Foreperson
Job Description
FIFO Shift Schedule: 14 days on / 14 days off
Role Summary:
Lead and oversee heavy equipment maintenance on remote construction projects. Ensure safe, efficient completion of preventative and corrective maintenance while supervising field mechanics and coordinating with operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct maintenance crews and subcontractors
- Coordinate preventative and running repairs on heavy equipment
- Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and hazard assessments
- Communicate equipment status, parts needs, and repair updates
- Track timesheets, job costs, and maintenance reporting
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
Requirements:
- Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician (or equivalent)
- 5+ years heavy equipment maintenance experience
- 2+ years leading maintenance teams
- Valid safety tickets (CSO/BSO/CSTS, First Aid/CPR, H2S Alive)
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass drug, alcohol, and fitness-to-work testing
