FIFO Shift Schedule: 20 days on / 10 days off

Job Description:
Red Seal Chefs lead kitchen operations at remote LandSea work camps across British Columbia. Working in a fly-in/fly-out environment, you’ll deliver high-quality meals, oversee food safety and inventory, and supervise kitchen staff while maintaining LandSea standards for service, cleanliness, and safety.

This is a camp-based FIFO role with meals, accommodations, and travel support provided.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and cooking buffet-style and plated meals per menu plans
  • Overseeing daily kitchen operations, staff scheduling, and supervision
  • Ensuring compliance with Food Safe and HACCP standards
  • Managing food inventory, ordering, and cost control
  • Training and coaching kitchen and dining staff
  • Maintaining kitchen cleanliness, equipment, and records
  • Supporting safety meetings and reporting requirements
  • Communicating operational needs with Head Office and Camp Management

Qualifications & requirements:

  • Red Seal Chef certification (required)
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a similar leadership role
  • Food Safe certification and WHMIS
  • Strong English communication skills
  • High school completion
  • Strong leadership, organization, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work long shifts in a remote camp environment
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing

Employment type: Full-time
Compensation: $26.00–$29.00 per hour (overtime available)
Shifts: 10–12 hour shifts (day or night)
