FIFO Shift Schedule: 14 days on / 7 days off (12-hour day shifts)
Job Description:
The Class One Operator supports waste, recycling, and environmental services at an industrial site in Alberta. This is a fly-in / fly-out, camp-based role responsible for the safe operation of commercial vehicles and waste handling equipment while delivering reliable service in a regulated work environment.
Key responsibilities include:
• Operating lugger, roll-off, front-load, and flat deck trucks
• Operating truck-mounted hydraulic hoisting devices
• Operating highway tractor trailer and pup trailer combinations
• Completing multiple daily trips with frequent loading and unloading
• Conducting commercial vehicle inspections
• Inspecting bins and reporting defects or maintenance needs
• Maneuvering vehicles safely in congested site areas
• Supporting customer service and site operations as required
Requirements and Qualifications:
• Valid Class One license with air brake endorsement
• Minimum three years of commercial driving experience
• Clean driver’s abstract demonstrating safe driving history
• Experience operating manual transmissions
• Ability to meet physical demands of the role
• Eligibility to access client sites as required
Additional Assets:
• Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) experience
• Site or industrial work experience
• Load securement experience in accordance with Alberta standards
