FIFO Shift Schedule: 14 days on / 14 days off (12-hour shifts)

Job Description:
The Heavy Equipment Technician supports mining and construction operations in Ontario by inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy equipment in a remote camp-based environment. This is a fly-in / fly-out role with camp accommodations provided.

Key responsibilities include:

• Inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy equipment and shovels
• Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using diagnostic tools
• Completing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and work orders
• Performing transmission, drivetrain, and component repairs
• Testing repaired equipment to ensure proper operation
• Maintaining service reports and maintenance documentation
• Making recommendations for equipment repairs and improvements
• Adhering to site safety standards, regulations, and company policies

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Journeyman Heavy Duty Off-Road Technician with Red Seal certification
• Minimum three years of field experience with off-road mining or construction equipment
• Experience with Hitachi, Komatsu, CAT, or John Deere equipment
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Ability to pass criminal record, drug, and alcohol testing
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a rotational camp setting
