Job Description:
Redpath Canada Limited is hiring a Construction Leader for the Onaping Depth Project in Sudbury, ON. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor or Underground Superintendent, this role involves completing underground construction mining tasks with little to no supervision and guiding less experienced miners. Work includes forming, concrete work, vent and man doors, vent walls, sump installations, pipe and ventilation installations, and other underground construction challenges.
Responsibilities include coordinating with engineering and construction management, monitoring and reporting project progress, developing and leading crews, and ensuring all work is carried out safely under Redpath’s health and safety systems.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Ontario Hard Rock Underground Common Core – Full Basic
- Minimum 3 years construction mining experience
- Ability to read mine plans and specifications
- Strong multitasking, teamwork, and independent work skills
- Respect for cultural differences
