Job Description:
Cameco is hiring a Senior Freeze Plant Operator to join the production and technical services team at the Cigar Lake Mine in northern Saskatchewan, the world’s highest-grade uranium mine. This fly-in/fly-out role is responsible for safely operating ammonia freeze plants and supporting the freeze well system on site. Duties include starting and stopping compressors, performing maintenance, troubleshooting, coordinating with supervisors and trades personnel, entering daily reports, and creating work orders in SAP.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Refrigeration Engineer certification (TSASK registered or eligible within 6 months)
- 3+ years’ refrigeration plant operating experience (ammonia systems preferred)
- Strong communication skills and proven safety record
- Assets: 3rd year Power Engineering, Journeyperson Refrigeration Mechanic, SAP/SIGGA/Bentley experience, Microsoft Office proficiency
