FIFO Shift Schedule: 14 days on / 14 days off, 11-hour shifts (Tuesday fly day, rotating days/nights)
Job Description:
Orano is building a talent pool for future Mill Operator opportunities at the McClean Lake operation. These positions are temporary and support mill production through safe and efficient operation of circuits, equipment, and mobile machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely conduct all duties in compliance with training and site procedures
- Complete required safety training (confined space entry, fall protection, lockout, WHMIS, radiation)
- Operate and troubleshoot independently after training in process areas
- Train peers once fully competent in assigned circuits
- Operate required mobile equipment safely and efficiently
- Take on leadership roles as needed (lead hand, project lead, circuit commissioning)
- Participate in weekly safety huddles and support OE culture
- Primary responsibilities across process areas: Ore Receiving, Leaching, CCD/Tailings, Clarification/SX, Precip/Calcining, JEB & SUE Water Treatment, and Central Control Room
Qualifications:
- Previous mill or process plant operating experience an asset
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable with rotating shifts (days/nights)
- Strong safety mindset and ability to follow procedures
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Willingness to work as part of a team and mentor others
