FIFO Shift Schedule: 14 days on / 14 days off, 11-hour shifts

Job Description:
Based at Orano’s McClean Lake site, the Project Engineer will lead small to medium multidisciplinary projects from conception through completion, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and regulations. This role provides engineering expertise, oversight, and guidance while driving improvements to milling processes and infrastructure. The successful candidate will support risk assessments, manage change processes, and collaborate with trades, operators, and subject matter experts to solve process challenges and deliver sustainable upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering expertise, coaching, and oversight to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices
  • Execute multidiscipline projects (design, repair, upgrades) from conception to completion
  • Administer Management of Change (MOC) for facility changes
  • Conduct formal risk assessments of new designs
  • Collaborate with operators and trades to implement improvements in milling processes and infrastructure
  • Identify opportunities for optimization and prepare project proposals for budget consideration
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure quality, budget, and schedule objectives are met
  • Recommend and implement departmental engineering processes and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Process, or related)
  • Eligible for professional engineering registration in Saskatchewan
  • 5+ years of relevant engineering/project experience in industrial or mining environments
  • Strong knowledge of project management, risk assessment, and engineering standards
  • Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to safety and continuous improvement

Camp & Travel:

  • Position is fly-in fly-out to McClean Lake mine site
  • Camp accommodations and meals provided during rotation
