Job Description:
Newmont is hiring a Construction Manager for the Block Cave Project at the Red Chris Mine in Northern BC. This is a rotational fly-in/fly-out opportunity with camp accommodations, meals, recreation facilities, and transportation provided from hubs in Vancouver, Kelowna, and Calgary. Salary ranges from $183,600–$257,040 annually. The role involves overseeing safe planning and execution of construction activities, managing schedules, budgets, and contractors, fostering a culture of safety and inclusion, and ensuring strong collaboration with EPCMs, consultants, and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in heavy industrial construction (surface and underground)
- Strong background in project planning, budget control, scheduling, and quality assurance
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and work across both owner and contractor settings
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred; P.Eng. designation an asset
- Proficiency with MS Project and MS Office Suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol testing
