FIFO Shift Schedule: Negotiable Rotation (11-hour shifts)

Job Description:
Redpath Canada is seeking experienced Jumbo Bolter Operators for the Borden Mine in Chapleau, ON. This role involves drilling, scaling, meshing, and bolting rounds using jumbos equipped with twin telescopic slides, while ensuring safety and production standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and wash down working areas, checking for misfires
• Assess ground conditions and implement ground control as required
• Install mesh and bolts using twin boom split feed jumbo to site standards
• Mentor and train offsiders to ensure safe work under supported ground
• Conduct face preparation, drill rounds, and follow engineered drill profiles
• Perform minor equipment repairs (shanks, couplings, hoses)
• Complete daily equipment pre-starts and reports
• Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, safe condition

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ontario Underground Hard Rock Common Core – Full Basic (or provincial equivalent)
• Specialty Module U0089 (or provincial equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with Jumbo Bolting
• 1 year each of scoop operation, service installation, and blasting rounds
• Strong ability to read mine plans, drill profiles, and survey memos
• Safety-focused, team-oriented, and able to work independently
