FIFO Shift Schedule: 14/14 Rotation (fly-in/fly-out)

Job Description:
Cameco is hiring a Specialist, Control Systems for the Cigar Lake Mine in northern Saskatchewan, the world’s highest-grade uranium mine. This fly-in/fly-out role is part of the maintenance engineering team and is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing process control systems. Duties include PLC/HMI/DCS programming, networking, server administration, and supporting operational predictability through improved control systems.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Instrumentation Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Process Control
  • 2–8 years’ progressive experience with industrial control/operational technology systems
  • Experience in PLC/HMI/DCS programming, architecture management, and industrial instrumentation
  • Knowledge of industrial data protocols (Modbus, OPC, HART, Ethernet/IP, BACnet, Profibus)
  • Experience with industrial networking (switches, firewalls, communications)
  • Assets: industrial cybersecurity, scripting languages (VBScript, Python), process control optimization, enterprise historians (Aveva PI, Canary Labs)
