FIFO Shift Schedule: 7/7 or 5/4–4/5 Rotation (10.5-hour shifts)

Job Description:
Redpath is seeking Conventional Miners for the North Mine Project in Sudbury, ON. This role involves operating hand-held Jackleg and Stoper drills, long toms, and other underground equipment to safely scale, drill, and install ground support for underground headings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect headings and scale loose rock to ensure safety
  • Drill holes using hand-held pneumatic drills or drill-boom mounted equipment
  • Install or repair mine services (ventilation tubing, water/air pipes, etc.) using scissor trucks, chain blocks, and hand tools
  • Operate underground mobile equipment including 8 yd Scooptrams and scissor lifts
  • Follow daily directives from Shift Supervisors and Captains for ground control requirements
  • Comply with Redpath safety systems, WHMIS, and Ontario Mining Regulations

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ underground mining experience
  • Ontario Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core – required
  • Specialty Modules: U0004, U0005, U0006, U0010, U0011, U0012, U0016, U0024, U0028, U0080, U0082
  • Ability to read mine plans and specifications
  • Strong teamwork, multitasking, and communication skills
  • Respectful of cultural differences
