FIFO Shift Schedule: 14/14 Rotation (10-hour shifts)

Job Description:
Redpath is hiring Alimak Raise Miners for the Macassa Black Diamond Project in Kirkland Lake, ON. This short-term contract (approx. 8–10 weeks, Sept–Oct 2025) involves constructing and maintaining underground raise installations, including scaling, drilling, and setting up mechanized raise climber (MRC) systems in compliance with Redpath’s mechanized raising guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate mechanized raise climber (MRC) equipment
• Construct and maintain underground raise installations as the face advances
• Perform scaling, drilling, and installation of MRC rails and services
• Read and interpret mine plans for raise construction
• Install ground support according to site standards
• Follow written and verbal instructions for safe, efficient work

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience with conventional mining methods and hand-held drills
• At least 6 months’ experience as a mechanized raise miner
• Ontario Underground Hard Rock Common Core – Full Basic (or provincial equivalent)
• Specialty Module U0064 (or equivalent)
• Completion of MRC training program (recommended)
• Strong teamwork, multitasking, and communication skills
• Respectful of cultural differences
