Job Description:
Wesdome Gold Mines is hiring an Electrical Maintenance Planner for the Eagle River Complex near Wawa, ON. Reporting to the Asset Management Engineer, this role is responsible for planning electrical maintenance and project activities for both underground and surface operations, supporting safe, efficient, and reliable production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance (PM) programs for electrical assets using SAP and RCM principles
- Maintain an electrical maintenance backlog of ready-to-schedule jobs
- Conduct site visits to scope work and build detailed job packages (BOMs, SOPs, checklists)
- Coordinate procurement, staging, and kitting of parts, equipment, and contractor support
- Lead planning meetings to review and prioritize PMs, corrective work, shutdowns, and projects
- Manage documentation, forecasts, and condition monitoring programs (infrared scanning, oil analysis)
- Track KPIs, prepare monthly reports, and support budgeting processes
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, mine safety standards, and company procedures
Requirements:
- Red Seal trade certification or Electrical Technologist/Engineer with 3+ years’ relevant experience
- Minimum 2 years’ industrial or mining experience, with 1+ year in maintenance planning
- CMRP, MMP, or CRE maintenance certifications considered an asset
- Proficiency with CMMS systems (SAP preferred)
- Strong MS Office skills; MS Project an asset
- Knowledge of hoist plant operations, gold processing equipment, and Ontario electrical codes
- Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
